Overview of the Role:
As the A&P Mechanic Team Lead, you will be instrumental in steering the daily operations of our client's maintenance facility. This role is pivotal for those looking to transition into leadership, offering the opportunity to guide a team of skilled mechanics. You will ensure that the fleet, including a variety of general aviation aircraft like Cessnas and Cirrus, is maintained to impeccable safety and operational standards. Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all maintenance operations on the shop floor.
Train and mentor less experienced mechanics, fostering skill development.
Ensure completion of all aircraft maintenance adhering to safety and compliance standards.
Collaborate with the director of maintenance and other staff for seamless operations.
Address increasing maintenance needs as the fleet expands from 21 to 25 aircraft.
Troubleshoot and repair general aviation aircraft focusing on avionics and sheet metal.
Uphold compliance with FAA regulations and our client's policies.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an A&P mechanic.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Solid understanding of aircraft maintenance and repair, preferably with experience in general aviation.
Familiarity with FAA regulations.
Ability to troubleshoot avionics and sheet metal issues.
High standards of safety and compliance.
