Account / Project Manager
Are you a skilled relationship builder with a knack for keeping projects on track? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where strategy meets execution? If so, we'd love to hear from you!
We are a full-service marketing agency specializing in higher education marketing. Our team partners with colleges and universities across the country to help them elevate their brands, refine their marketing strategies, and drive enrollment. From award-winning campaigns to innovative digital solutions, our work is showcased at national conferences every year.
While our headquarters are based in Raleigh, NC, we operate with a flexible, remote-friendly policy. Team members can choose to work remotely, in-office, or in a hybrid capacity—whatever works best for them.
About the Role
The Account / Project Manager is a dynamic hybrid role that blends account management and project management responsibilities. In this role, you'll be the primary point of contact for your assigned clients, ensuring they have a seamless and positive experience from start to finish. You'll also work closely with our internal teams, keeping projects organized, on time, and aligned with client goals.
This role reports directly to the Director of Client Experience with a dotted-line relationship to the Director of Project Management. You'll be an integral part of both teams, contributing to the success of our clients and the efficiency of our internal processes.
What You'll Do
Account Management & Client Experience
Serve as the primary client contact, fostering strong relationships and ensuring an exceptional client experience.
Collaborate with strategists and subject matter experts to define project visions, develop strategies, and oversee execution.
Advocate for clients by ensuring all deliverables meet high standards and align with their business goals.
Build and strengthen relationships at all levels within client organizations, from day-to-day contacts to senior leadership.
Work closely with the Associate Director of Client Experience to identify new opportunities and expand client partnerships.
Lead key project presentations and milestone discussions.
Project Management
Manage a variety of projects, including branding, enrollment marketing, CRM, and consultative services.
Use project management software (e.g., Scoro) to plan, track, and optimize project progress, budgets, and profitability.
Keep internal and client teams aligned through clear communication and regular updates.
Set agendas and facilitate productive meetings, both internally and externally.
Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring deadlines and milestones are met.
Secure appropriate resources and adjust plans as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
Proactively address scope, budget, and timeline changes, providing solutions to keep projects on track.
What You Bring
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Communications, Journalism, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of experience in account management, project management, or a similar role.
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A strategic mindset with the ability to balance company and client needs.
A team-oriented approach and a passion for contributing to a positive, collaborative work culture.
A Note on Inclusivity
We know that imposter syndrome and self-doubt can sometimes prevent people from applying for roles they're excited about. If this opportunity speaks to you, but you don't meet every single qualification, we still encourage you to apply. We value diverse experiences and perspectives, and we believe skills can be developed in many different ways.
Our Culture
We believe that a strong workplace culture is just as important as benefits like health insurance, PTO, and a 401(k). That's why we're committed to fostering an environment where team members feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow.
We work hard, we collaborate closely, and we take pride in the impact we make. But we also believe in balance—having fun along the way is just as important as delivering great work. When our team members are happy and fulfilled, the work we produce is even better, and that's what drives us every day.
