Job Description

SPIN Global is a Maryland-based public benefit corporation that exists to disrupt disasters from neighborhoods to nations. We are seeking qualified applicants to build a deployment-ready cadre, prepared to support response operations as opportunities arise. Applicants must possess a FEMA Entry on Duty (EOD).

‬‬‬ Responsibilities
Conduct field investigations, including surveys and excavations, to document and preserve archaeological and historic sites.
• Ensure compliance with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards and Guidelines for Archeology and Historic Preservation.
• Prepare detailed reports, including cultural resource assessments, findings, and recommendations for preservation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and government agencies to support FEMA's Public Assistance Programs.
• Provide technical expertise on FEMA Environmental and Historic Preservation (EHP) compliance, including review of project plans for cultural resource impacts.
• Utilize FEMA Grants Portal to manage documentation and maintain transparency in reporting.
• Educate stakeholders on the importance of archaeological preservation and related policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field with 5 years of experience in a related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Secretary of the Interior's Standards and Guidelines for Archeology and Historic Preservation.
• Completion of FEMA courses preferred:
o IS-1000: Public Assistance Program and Eligibility
o IS-1001: The Public Assistance Delivery Model Orientation
o IS-1002: FEMA Grants Portal - Transparency at Every Step
o IS-253.a: Overview of FEMA's Environmental and Historic Preservation Review
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in GIS and other relevant software tools for mapping and analysis.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams in both field and office settings.

• EOD Required.
