Schedule: Friday and Saturday: 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM

Sunday: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Hours per Week: 28 hours

Elk Head Clothing at Ponce City Market is looking for a talented and reliable Assistant Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in creating memorable customer experiences, styling customers for the perfect fit, and ensuring that our high-end, organic clothing leaves a lasting impression.

As an Assistant Manager, you will lead by example on the sales floor, helping our team deliver exceptional service and maintain our reputation as a go-to destination for premium, sustainable fashion. If you have a keen eye for style, an understanding of high-quality fabrics, and the ability to foster genuine customer relationships, we want to hear from you!

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as a role model in creating personalized, high-touch connections with customers that foster loyalty and excitement for the brand.
• Style customers to achieve the perfect fit with our curated collection of high-end, organic fabrics.
• Assist team members on the sales floor, guiding them to create meaningful customer interactions and close sales.
• Lead fit sessions that highlight product knowledge and inspire a passion for fashion and fit.
• Provide in-the-moment feedback and coaching to ensure associates exceed customer expectations and sales targets.
• Oversee the sales floor to ensure the right associates are in the right place at the right time, optimizing sales opportunities.
• Act as a key player in driving our sales goals and helping the team consistently exceed targets.
• Step in as needed to support the leadership team and manage store operations.
• Maintain a high level of expertise about the products, ensuring every customer leaves feeling satisfied with their purchase.
• Uphold the values and culture of Elk Head Clothing in every interaction, creating a welcoming and positive environment for both customers and staff.

About You

You’ll be a great fit if you:

• Have a proven track record in sales, with the ability to motivate others to achieve their goals in a competitive, sales-driven environment.
• Are skilled at styling customers for the perfect fit and have a strong fashion aesthetic.
• Love building strong customer relationships and creating an unforgettable shopping experience.
• Are reliable and dependable, with a strong work ethic and the ability to handle responsibility in a leadership role.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, and 2+ years of retail experience (specialty or high-end retail preferred).
• Are adaptable, able to shift quickly in a fast-paced environment, and excel at problem-solving.
• Are a confident communicator and can lead a team with positivity and professionalism.
• Are comfortable using technology and retail systems, and familiar with the latest industry trends.
• Are available to work during our busiest times, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Can lift, carry, and move at least 40 pounds and are comfortable moving around the store floor to assist customers.
