Position: Associate Professional Specialist



Description: The Levine Lab in the Lewis-Sigler Institute at Princeton University seeks an Associate Professional Specialist to supervise a research project centered on the use of a model marine invertebrate (Ciona intestinalis) to trace asymmetric cell divisions in the specification and migration of heart progenitor cells during embryogenesis and metamorphosis. The successful candidate should possess supervisory experience in managing a research team of 3-5 students and postdocs to develop new tools for visualizing cell lineages in living embryos. The successful candidate should also have experience in writing and submitting successful grant applications to private corporations, public foundations, and governmental agencies. Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in marine molecular biology or related field and a strong track record of productivity are essential qualifications.
