Full time Attorney: Midlevel Litigation Associate - New Opportunity - New York, NY / Washington, DC

 

A leading law firm is seeking a  Mid-Level Litigation Associate to join its Litigation group with a focus on White Collar, Investigations, and Government Enforcement . This position offers opportunities for career advancement within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The role is open to candidates in either the New York or Washington, D.C. offices.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality legal counsel on complex litigation matters involving securities, regulatory issues, and white-collar crimes.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and third-party professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy and decision-making.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Represent clients in court, during hearings, and in other legal proceedings.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, keeping them informed of case developments.
  • Contribute to firm initiatives by mentoring junior associates and fostering a positive team environment.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence others and convey complex legal concepts.
  • Research and problem-solving abilities with a strategic approach to case management.
  • Strong business judgment and the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Federal court clerkship is a plus.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York and/or Washington, D.C. Bar .
  • Minimum of 4 years of strong litigation experience in securities, regulatory, and white-collar matters.
  • Prior law firm experience is required.

  • Timely production of deliverables, answering calls, and responding to correspondence efficiently.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, expectations, and perform duties with high-quality work.
  • Foster positive work relationships and adhere to firm policies.
  • Engage in both sedentary and occasional physical activity, including prolonged computer use, digital conference calls, and meetings.
  • Ability to handle competing demands in a high-pressure environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to business needs.

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid work environment with regular in-office presence and flexibility for remote work.

Compensation:

  • The expected annual compensation for this position ranges from $310,000 to $420,000 , depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
  • A comprehensive benefits package is included, offering medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with a 401(k).
