Responsibilities:
- Estimate costs for building automation system control projects.
- Analyze project requirements and specifications to create accurate estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure cost control measures are in place.
- Utilize electrical experience to assess project needs and provide pricing recommendations.
- Incorporate knowledge of Bluebeam software for efficient estimation processes.
- Negotiate pricing with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive rates.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates and pricing details for reference.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to construction estimating.
What Were Looking For:
- 3-5 years of experience estimating in the building automation industry.
- Expertise with commercial HVAC systems and project cost estimation.
- Familiarity with Tridium, Distech, Alerton, and Honeywell control systems.
- Knowledge of material and labor costs, as well as product selection for sensors, valves, and other devices.
- Experience with Bluebeam or Bid Tracer takeoff software is a huge plus!
