Location: Fully Remote (U.S. Only)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Compensation: $20 - $29 per hour (based on experience) + production bonuses after a 90-day probationary period
#### About the Role
Are you a detail-oriented and experienced bookkeeper looking for a fully remote opportunity? We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper / Accountant / Staff Accountant to join our growing team. If you thrive in an organized and fast-paced environment and have strong experience with QuickBooks Online, this role could be a great fit for you!
This position allows you to work either 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM in your time zone. A quiet and dedicated workspace is essential for success.
While the primary focus of this role is bookkeeping, candidates with additional experience as an Accountant or Staff Accountant will be given special consideration.
#### What You'll Do
As a key member of our team, you will manage a portfolio of 10-20 clients, ensuring their financial records are accurate and up to date. Responsibilities include:
- Reconciling bank and credit card accounts
- Reviewing and categorizing financial transactions
- Identifying and correcting discrepancies in client records
- Managing bill payments, loan tracking, and invoicing
- Filing 1099s and calculating sales tax
- Processing payroll filings and reporting
- Keeping detailed financial transaction records
- Submitting daily reports to your supervisor
- Accurately tracking time spent on each client's work
- Utilizing internal software to document client interactions
- Performing other related bookkeeping and accounting tasks as needed
#### What We're Looking For
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of hands-on QuickBooks Online experience (required)
- 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience managing multiple clients
- (Bonus) Accounting or Staff Accountant experience is a plus but not required
- Willingness to undergo additional in-house training as needed
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (this is a must!)
- Reliability and timeliness in meeting work commitments
- High level of confidentiality when handling client and company data
- Must be located in the U.S. with excellent English skills
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed
#### What to Expect in the Hiring Process

3. Initial Zoom interview with the hiring team
4. Complete a QuickBooks Online assessment with mock bookkeeping tasks
5. Final interview with senior leadership
#### Work Environment & Requirements
- Fully remote position with occasional evening or weekend work if needed
- Must have a reliable computer, high-speed internet, and dual monitors
- Webcam and microphone required for Zoom meetings
- Must be able to sit and work at a computer for 8+ hours per day
