Bookkeeper

Based in Washington, DC

The International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers Union, AFL-CIO, is a proud trade association whose beginnings go back to the 1890s. We currently represent 120,000 members in North America.

Provide accounting related support for multiple non-profit organizations within the Ironworkers International organization. Work with QuickBooks Online. Processes transactions, enters and maintains data, runs reports. Provides excellent service to Iron Worker union members as needed.

• Accounts Payable - IW GT Fund, Organizing Funds, Scholarship Foundation - check processing and file maintenance
• Biweekly Expense Report processing
• Death Benefit Claims processing – determines eligibility, claim amount, issues checks, reports for IW Magazine
• Assists Controller in preparing Special Reports for Audit Committee, GEC, etc.

This position is at Headquarters Office: 1750 New York Ave, NW, Washington, DC 20006

In office 5 days a week, M-F

Salary: $65,000+
