Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and patient caregiver to support a 15-year-old girl in Flint, MI, who has a cognitive impairment and schizophrenia. This position is ideal for someone with experience in behavioral or mental health support and a genuine passion for working with youth.
Responsibilities Include:
Providing supervision and emotional support after school and on Saturdays
Assisting with daily routines, tasks, and recreational activities
Supporting emotional regulation and behavior management
Following an individualized care plan and maintaining a calm, structured environment
Ensuring safety at all times
Qualifications:
Experience working with individuals with cognitive or mental health conditions preferred
Calm, dependable, and able to respond appropriately in challenging situations
Strong communication skills
Must be at least 18 years old
Driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred but not required
Must pass background check
