Overview:

An early stage, innovative medical device start up is seeking an exceptional finance leader to oversee financial strategy, planning, and operations. This role will be responsible for leading all financial activities, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Participating in funding request activities.
• Work with CEOs to develop company valuation.
• Collaborate with the internal leadership team, the board and external vendors.
• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
• Manage funding activities, investment strategies, and financial risk assessment.
• Support strategic decision-making and present financial insights to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
• Implement financial systems, ERP integration, and internal controls.
• Supervise financial audits and regulatory filings.
• Guide cash management, FP&A, business development, and IPO readiness.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to a growing finance team.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles within manufacturing (medical device industry preferred).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, and ERP implementation.
• Experience with SEC, IRS, and other regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills.
• Start up experience, with funding, valuation, and IPO and/or strategic acquisition.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
