This position is per diem (as needed). Employees are required to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be aligned with your schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • This individual supports the InterQual Clinical Content Department within the Decision Support organization.
  • This position assists with the day-to-day project coordination activities of clinician consultants (i.e., External Peer Reviewers) and maintenance of the Clinical Consultant Database (CCDB) to meet strict timelines.
  • Responsible for managing and reporting on consultant report cards. Additional responsibilities include the management of consultant processes and supporting documentation.
  • Proactively identify, source, and secure qualified clinical External Peer Reviewers, leveraging medical societies, content developer input, and EBM articles/guidelines.
  • Process recruitment packets and perform credentialing and maintenance of the consultant database. Develop orientation materials for different formats of content to ensure quality and efficient external peer reviews.
  • Implement new initiatives to increase awareness among EPRs of the InterQual brand.
  • Maintain metrics of InterQual Clinical Content Department consultant needs and prioritize based on time frames needed.
  • Maintains Consultant Database to include accurate, complete, and timely documentation in database to ensure usable data for entire team.
  • Ongoing review of existing processes and consulting documentation to ensure streamlined and updated.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR Older
  • Physician and other clinician sourcing skills, including using databases and social media
  • Mature Recruiting patterns attune to creating connections and building momentum
  • Ability to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS Office Suite - Intermediate User

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $20.43 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
