We are seeking an energetic and personable Server to join our pizza shop located on bustling Newbury St. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while working in a fast-paced, self-managed environment. You will utilize a toast handheld device to efficiently process orders, serve food, and ensure an enjoyable dining experience for our valued customers.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and engaging manner.
• Take customer orders accurately using the toast handheld device, ensuring special requests and dietary preferences are noted.
• Deliver food and beverages to customers' tables promptly and accurately.
• Provide recommendations on menu items, describing ingredients, flavors, and specials.
• Ensure tables are set up and cleaned promptly, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Answer customer inquiries, address concerns, and resolve any issues that may arise during the dining experience.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain efficient service.
• Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately using the toast handheld device.
• Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance the overall dining experience.
• Collaborate with fellow team members to maintain a positive and cohesive work environment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a server or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, self-managed environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and team members.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift moderately heavy items.
• Professional and presentable appearance to align with the high standards of our retail district location.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Starting pay of $15 per hour plus tips, with tips averaging $8-$15 per hour for any given shift.
