Part-Time Nanny/Family Assistant – Davison, MI
Compensation: $30–$32/hour + PTO + Paid Holidays
Start Date: ASAP or by August 26th

A warm and energetic family in Davison is seeking a part-time nanny/family assistant to support a busy single mother of four wonderful children—three active boys (ages 11, 10, and 6) and one sweet and creative 8-year-old girl. The ideal candidate will be nurturing, reliable, and organized, with a genuine love for children and an interest in forming a long-term connection with the family. Mom is frequently in and out of the home during the day and values a proactive, dependable partner in managing the household and children's routines.

This role offers variety, flexibility, and the opportunity to become an important and appreciated part of a loving, active family. Occasional travel with the family (primarily during summer) is requested.

Schedule

Approximately 25–30 hours per week, with some flexibility

• Monday, Thursday, Friday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Tuesday, Wednesday: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Start Date: ASAP or by August 26 (school starts September 2)
• Additional Hours: Occasional weekend hours may be available if desired

Responsibilities

• Coordinate school drop-offs and pick-ups (children attend two different schools)
• Engage the children in developmentally appropriate activities, both structured and imaginative
• Prepare and serve snacks and light meals for the children
• Balance high-energy play for the boys with gentle, attentive interaction with the daughter (arts & crafts, American Girl dolls, reading, etc.)
• Provide structure and support while Mom is out or traveling
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including:
• Tidying up children’s areas
• Loading/unloading dishwasher
• Vacuuming
• Running local errands
• Children's laundry and light meal prep
• Help care for family pets (a friendly German Shepherd and two cats), including letting the dog out and occasional feeding

Ideal Candidate

• Minimum of 3 years of recent, verifiable childcare experience (elementary school age preferred)
• Warm, confident, patient, and able to manage sibling dynamics with kindness and structure
• Comfortable around pets and animal-friendly
• Reliable, punctual, and proactive communicator
• Creative and engaging — enjoys imaginative play, crafts, and being an encouraging role model
• Sensitive to hearing differences (two children wear hearing aids; no ASL required)
• Comfortable driving with a valid license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle (ample parking available)
• CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Willing to travel with the family occasionally for up to one week at a time (primarily summer trips)
• Swimming proficiency is a plus, but not required

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Pay: $30–$32/hour, based on experience
• Paid Time Off: Two weeks vacation (one week chosen by nanny, one by family)
• Paid Sick/Personal Days: Three (3)
• Paid Holidays: Major holidays off and paid if they fall on a scheduled workday
