Job Description

Viridian Staffing's Client is looking for an experienced, self-starter to become a Full Charge Bookkeeper about 45 minutes north of the Newark, New Jersey, area, and about 45 minutes west of the Yonkers, New York, area in Paterson. This position is on-site- no remote working arrangement will be considered.

Founded in 2013, Viridian Staffing () is the Original, professional staffing, recruiting, and HR consulting firm dedicated to organizations in and supporting the commercial, medical, and industrial cannabis / hemp industry.

If you are the type of individual to take initiative and get excited about the opportunity to navigate a new industry, then this position could be for you. You would need to be able to deal with and develop solutions for challenges including the 280e tax code and a lack of banking resources. In order to do this, diplomacy in addition to strong written and verbal communication skills will be required. You should be known for your integrity and discretion, having experience with audits, financial statements, payroll, account reconciliations & performing month end closes.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of work experience in full charge bookkeeping or accounting
  
• Experience in the areas of tax preparation, audit and compliance driven accounting
  
• Proficiency with and ability to ramp up quickly on enterprise software solutions.
  
• Proven experience with Quickbooks Desktop and Online
  
• Knowledge of payroll entry allocation
  
• Knowledge of financial reports such as but not limited to the following: Profit & Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet, etc.
  
• Cash Management experience
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business preferred
  
• Experience in Manufacturing, Retail, and/or Cannabis industries preferred
  

Compensation: $55,000-$68,000/year + Benefits
