Job Description
As a Remote Elementary Math Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping young learners develop strong mathematical foundations through innovative and age-appropriate teaching methods. Our program focuses on building critical thinking and logical reasoning skills while fostering a love for learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and teach online math classes on a weekly basis (5-7 classes, approximately 7-15 hours per week).
Conduct 1-on-1 evaluations to assess new students and place them in appropriate classes (5-10 hours per week).
Grade homework and provide weekly progress updates to parents, offering feedback on areas for improvement (5-7 hours per week).
Participate in paid training sessions and observe experienced teachers to enhance teaching effectiveness.
Collaborate with the teaching management team and contribute to curriculum development.
Work Schedule:
Wednesday to Sunday, 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM (PST) (Mondays and Tuesdays off).
Flexible non-teaching hours to allow for lesson preparation and administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher (all majors welcome; Education or STEM-related fields preferred).
Prior experience teaching math is a plus.
Passionate about working with young children and fostering a positive learning environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially when engaging with parents.
High-energy, engaging, and able to make math fun and exciting for children.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive Pay:
Teaching Hours: $25-$40 per hour
Administrative Hours (Lesson Prep, Grading, Parent Communication): $16-$20 per hour
Estimated First-Year Salary: $40,000 - $50,000

Interview Process:
Step 1: 15-minute teaching demo submission
Step 2: 5-minute storytelling + 10-minute teaching session
Step 3: 15-minute HR screening & final interview prep
Step 4: 1-hour final interview, including a parent & student evaluation simulation and behavioral interview
