ROLE IMPACT
As a Customer Service Representative within Pharmacy Operations, you’ll be a vital point of contact for patients managing cancer treatment and other chronic conditions. Your empathetic communication and efficiency will ensure timely medication delivery, insurance processing, and critical care coordination—directly impacting patient satisfaction and safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage inbound/outbound calls to schedule deliveries, process payments, and update patient profiles
• Respond to non-clinical inquiries and escalate complex concerns to the appropriate teams
• Maintain detailed progress notes and manage prescription status updates in MIS
• Verify insurance information and assist patients with general claims questions
• Identify and escalate adverse events and product complaints to clinicians
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred
• 1+ year call center or customer service experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and management information systems
• Strong written/verbal communication and empathetic patient demeanor
CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS
• Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
• Electronic medical/pharmacy records (EMR/EHR)
• Customer relationship management (CRM) systems
• Medical claims software
• Internal call routing systems
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Familiarity with pharmacy workflows or medical office settings
• Knowledge of medical terminology or claims processing
• Strong attendance and team-oriented mindset
