Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist will oversee day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, benefits enrollment, and policy enforcement. This role plays a key part in promoting a positive workplace culture by aligning HR practices with the company’s values.

Work Environment

  • The role requires In-Office presence at the Arlington Headquarters in Texas. 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with mandatory training, certifications, and continuing education requirements.
  • Coordinate pre-employment checks and verify employee eligibility.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and development
  • Plan internal events and engagement activities to foster a positive, inclusive workplace.
  • Manage office supply inventory to meet operational needs.
  • Partner with the on-site staffing agency to ensure staffing aligns with operational goals and performance standards.
  • Conduct performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and investigations.
  • Administer HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave, and employee relations.
  • Reconcile HR-related invoices and vendor billing.
  • Respond to HR inquiries, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Manage unemployment claims and processes with the Texas Workforce Commission.
  • Support payroll functions.
  • Stay updated on HR trends, legal changes, and best practices.
  • Perform additional HR tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 5+ years of HR experience with a focus on employee relations.
  • Strong business acumen and employee management skills.
  • Previous experience working with an on-site staffing agency.
  • Skilled in interpersonal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  • Proven ability to build trust across all organizational levels.
  • Adaptable, professional, and maintains strict confidentiality.
  • Works well independently and within a team.
  • Solid knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance.
  • Familiar with Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) processes and unemployment claims.
  • Basic understanding of payroll, including termination pay.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant work experience may be substituted for the education requirement.
