Job Description

Job Duties:

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation, heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment
• Identifying maintenance risks on equipment
• Assisting with customers' queries
• Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
• Acting as part of after normal hours on-call rotation

Qualifications:

• Five years technical training or the equivalent work experience
• Fundamental understanding of HVACR industry
• Control system knowledge is beneficial, but not required
• OSHA 10-hour Safety Training Certificate or the successful completion of the 10-hour OSHA training course in Construction Safety & Health within 12 months of hire date
• Knowledge of the safety rules for the handling of high/low pressure gases, electricity and certain hazardous materials
• Possession of current Class E driver's license and clean driving history
• Certification as a universal technician as required by 40 CFR part 82, subpart F
• Ability to lift and carry 80 pounds on a recurring basis
• Ability to climb a ladder carrying 50 pounds
• Ability to work on rooftops
• Ability to work out of doors during hottest summer days, coldest winter days and varying degrees of inclement weather
• Punctual, dependable, excellent attendance habits
• Professional appearance
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well
• Ability to create and maintain friendly relationships with customers and coworkers
