We are seeking an experienced and strategic Internal Communications Director to lead the development and execution of comprehensive internal and employee communication strategies. This person will be responsible for ensuring that our internal communications effectively support cultural alignment, organizational change, and drive our business objectives forward.

This role will oversee communication strategies across multiple platforms, driving clarity, transparency, and a sense of community throughout the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Internal Communications Strategy: Define and implement a cohesive internal communications approach, including management of our Global Company All Hands meetings, programs to support major initiatives across the company, organizational announcements, and distribution channels.

  • Drive Content and Editorial Excellence: Oversee the development of high-impact content across formats—newsletters, videos, emails, presentations, and intranet—ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with company values.

  • Support Organizational Priorities: Design and lead communications for major company programs and change initiatives, ensuring employees remain informed, engaged, and aligned.

  • Partner Across the Business: Collaborate with executive, HR, and functional teams to support programs and amplify messaging across departments and geographies.

  • Measure and Improve: Define KPIs and feedback loops to evaluate impact. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and continuously improve communication effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience in internal or corporate communications, with a track record of leading high-impact, cross-functional initiatives.

  • Proven ability to communicate complex topics with clarity and impact.

  • Expert storyteller with outstanding writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
    Strong change management experience in dynamic, high-growth environments.

  • Skilled in using digital tools and platforms (e.g., intranet, video, Slack, Google Drive, etc.).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience scaling communications in large or global organizations.

  • Background in building programs from the ground up.

  • Familiarity with managing agencies, content production, and internal campaigns.

  • Deep understanding of employee engagement strategies and measurement.

  • Collaborative and trusted partner across diverse teams and functions.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $145,000 - $202,600.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
