School Psychologist Needed at Local School | Mental Health Professionals Encouraged To Apply
Location: Kenosha, WI
Grade Level: K-12
Position Type: In-Person
Compensation: $60-$65/hour (depending on experience) + Benefits
Schedule: 40 hours/week | Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: Through the end of the school year
Position Summary
A Kenosha area school is seeking a compassionate and experienced School Psychologist to students in a range of grades and specialized programs. This vital role focuses on helping students overcome emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges while fostering a positive and inclusive school environment. Prefer in-person, but would consider hybrid.
Key Responsibilities
+ Assessment & Evaluation:
Conduct psychological and psycho-educational assessments to identify student strengths and challenges.
+ Intervention & Support:
Develop and implement strategies, including individual or group counseling, to address behavioral, emotional, and learning needs.
+ Collaboration:
Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to coordinate services and support student success.
+ Crisis Prevention & Response:
Provide leadership and direct services during crises, and help develop school-wide prevention and mental health programs.
+ Consultation & Advocacy:
Advise staff on effective interventions and accommodations, and advocate for students' mental health and educational needs.
Qualifications
+ Must maintain current State licensures and/or certifications in state of assignment
+ Experience in the field and ability to obtain DPI license if don't already have it
+ Experience in pediatric and adolescent population is preferred
+ Master's degree in psychology preferred
+ Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
