Job Description

The Laboratory Assistant is an entry-level position to learn basic laboratory technician skills. May also provide non-technical support services to other laboratory personnel. This is a part-time position, expected to work 20 hours per week. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists Laboratory Technicians in preparation of samples for analysis.
• Collects and prepares materials and supplies for laboratory.
• Prepares routine forms and reports.
• May assist technicians in conducting routine analyses.
• Assists other laboratory areas as needed.
• Cleans work area(s) to maintain a safe working environment.
• Stocks laboratory supplies.

Qualifications

Education: 

• High school diploma or equivalent with general knowledge of scientific field

Ability / Skills: 

• General knowledge of Chemistry and/or General Science
• Mathematics
• Communication skills
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Quick learner
• Work within time constraints

Additional Information

Position is part-time position, 20 hours per week. Hours can vary. 

The salary range for this position is $20 - $23 / hour (DOE)

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
