Work Performed (Essential Duties & Responsibilities) :

Local drivers typically work 9-11 hour shifts Monday through Friday with additional hours as required. Start time will be between 4:00 and 7:00 depending on route. Drivers will travel throughout Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio with the possibility of longer destinations as required.
This position requires driving a semi-tractor and 53’ conestoga trailer.
Driver is responsible to track time on electronic logs.
Driver will be domiciled in either Garden City or Livonia, MI and will make multiple stops each day and return to the original domicile during the same work shift.
Driver is responsible for pre-trip inspection of load and safety checks throughout the day.
Driver is responsible to secure load with straps after each delivery.
Driver is responsible to monitor the unloading of material and match it up against provided manifest and bill of lading. Must report any problems immediately to appropriate personnel.
Driver is first line customer service and must represent International Extrusions in a professional manner.
Driver is responsible for scheduling maintenance on tractor and trailer to ensure equipment is kept clean and in perfect working order.

The responsibilities associated with this job will change from time to time in accordance with the Company’s business needs. More specifically, the incumbent may be required to perform additional and/or different responsibilities from those set forth above.

Position Requirements /Qualifications:

Must possess CDL Class A license.
Driver must provide a motor vehicle driving record for the past 1 year.
Must have 5 years driving experience in a semi-tractor and 48’ or 53’ trailer.
Driver must be able to operate either a manual or automatic transmission.
Driver must be in possession of a current DOT medical card.
Driver must pass a drug test as well as be in a pool for random testing.
Driver must have a valid hi-lo operator’s license.
