Job Highlights:
- Specialty: Emergency Medicine
- Shifts: Flexible schedules with 3-4 shifts per month, including nights. Typical shifts range between 8 to 12 hours.
- Coverage: Scheduled shifts only, no on-call requirements.
- Patient Volume: Average of 1.5-2.5 patients per hour.
- Facilities:
- Hospital with 40 beds and certified stroke center services.
- Free-standing emergency department with 19 beds.
Requirements:
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Current Virginia state license.
- DEA license and Virginia CSR certification.
- ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
- Experience:
- At least 2 years of relevant logs are mandatory for consideration.
- Credentialing:
- Credentialing timeframe: 90-120 days.
- Must submit timely responses to application requests.
Additional Information:
- Must complete immunization requirements, including MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Tetanus, Hep B, and COVID-19.
- Tuberculosis testing via T-Spot or QuantiFERON is required.
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred.
- APPs are encouraged to participate in ED code situations.
