Description Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist - Ocean Freight to join our El Segundo office. This individual will be responsible for coordinating import/export ocean shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining strong communication with customers, carriers, and vendors. Key Responsibilities: + Coordinate and manage full-cycle ocean import/export shipments (FCL and LCL). + Book ocean freight with carriers and monitor shipment schedules. + Prepare and review shipping documents including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists. + Track and trace shipments; proactively resolve any delays or issues. + Communicate shipment status to customers and provide timely updates. + Work with customs brokers to ensure timely clearance and delivery. + Maintain accurate records in logistics systems or freight forwarding software (e.g., CargoWise, Magaya, etc.). + Liaise with warehouse, trucking, and other departments to ensure smooth cargo handling. + Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and internal SOPs. + Support invoicing and billing processes for completed shipments. + Provide customer service and troubleshooting support as needed. + Monitor carrier performance and address service issues. Requirements + 2+ years of experience in international logistics, with a focus on ocean freight (import and/or export). + Knowledge of INCOTERMS, harmonized codes, and customs procedures. + Familiarity with AMS/ISF filing processes. + Experience using freight forwarding systems or TMS software. + Excellent communication and organizational skills. + Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment. + High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or business is a plus. + Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Chinese) preferred but not required.
