Live-In Rotational Companion/Caregiver (4 Days On / 3 Days Off) in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

Location: Private Residence in Gated Community
Schedule:4 Days On / 3 Days Off, continuous care/kinship during on days. Thursday 7AM-Monday 7AM
Long-Term, Live-In Role while on shift. You go home when off.

We are seeking a warm, compassionate, and mature live-in Companion to support a lovely, intelligent 87yr old woman in her home. The ideal candidate will become part of the family and serve as a best friend, right hand, and trusted support system in a long-term role.

About the Family:
The mother is an accomplished and bright woman. After the recent passing of her husband, who was the dominant partner in the marriage, the family is looking for someone who can bring companionship, stability, and joy into her daily life. Her adult son manages all affairs and serves as head of the household.
Role Overview:
This is a companion position where the client is wanting to find someone who can be in this role for very longterm—4 days on, 3 days off—providing continuous care during your working week. There is ample downtime throughout the day as the mother rests or relaxes. She generally sleeps through the night, getting up once to use the bathroom.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide companionship and emotional support; build a deep, long-term relationship
• Assist with personal care routines: dressing, bathroom use, grooming, etc.
• Drive to and accompany her to breakfast or lunch at the neighborhood clubhouse
• Light meal preparation; someone who enjoys occasional cooking is a great fit
• Understand and assist with medication reminders and basic health monitoring
• Light housekeeping and laundry duties; no deep cleaning required (cleaning team visits weekly)
• Be present during the night in case support is needed

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with elderly clients, especially those with memory loss or early signs of dementia
• A calm, patient, and grounded personality
• A desire to be a key person in someone’s life for many years to come
• Comfort with light caregiving and household support duties
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to maintain a peaceful, positive, and organized environment

Additional Details:

• No pets in the home
• Mom is very social, loves to talk, and enjoys being around others
• Cognitive decline is present, though no formal diagnosis has been made
• Candidate must be comfortable with occasional fabricated stories or confusion and respond with kindness and understanding

Position Compensation

• Salary: $90,000/yr-$99,000/yr 
• Living Accommodations: Live In while on shift
• Health Insurance:Yes or a stipend
