Job Description

We are seeking a creative and self-motivated Marketing Assistant to join our marketing team and help elevate our high-end sewing business. If you're a graphic designer with digital marketing experience with 1+ years of experience and a passion for content creation, this role is for you!

In this dynamic position, you'll work closely with our Marketing Coordinator to craft materials, create engaging content, and drive digital growth. You’ll have the opportunity to expand your skills in social media, video creation, ecommerce, and digital advertising for a creative business. 

Responsibilities:

• Integrate into Aurora Sewing Center’s team, and continually learn about product lines, classes and service offerings.
• Engage with followers, responding to comments and messages to maintain a positive online presence
• Strategize, develop and schedule content across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Create high-quality graphics, videos and visuals for social media and website
• Create regular blog content
• Assist in executing digital marketing campaigns, including emails, social media, and paid advertising
• Continually update web content with new products, services, and promotions
• Collaborate within the entire team, and at all three locations to align content creation with business goals 

Requirements:

• A creative mindset.
• A proactive, self-starting driver, who is a team-player.
• 1+ years of experience in graphic design, digital content creation, social media management, and web content.
• Proficiency in video and graphics software; Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva.
• Proficiency in social media platform(s); (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube)
• An interest in understanding and implementing SEO strategies.
• Detail-oriented with excellent time management and project execution.
• A Bachelor’s in marketing or related field.
• An interest in sewing, quilting, or embroidery is a plus.

Location: This role is primarily based at our East Aurora location (70%). You’ll need flexibility to travel to and work at our Williamsville location (15%), and Victor location (15%).
