Remote Dose Confirmation Specialist

$23-25 per hour.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly responsible and detail-oriented Remote Dose Confirmation Specialist to provide critical after-hours support for emergency dose verification. In this role, you will ensure uninterrupted access to dosing information for individuals receiving medication-assisted treatment (MAT), helping to maintain continuity of care during urgent or crisis situations.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to emergency calls from hospitals, OTPs, EMS personnel, and other healthcare providers
• Verify patient dosing history using the SAMMS electronic medical record system
• Confirm the identity and credentials of the requesting party before sharing any information
• Document all interactions according to federal and state regulatory standards
• Maintain strict compliance with privacy laws including 42 CFR Part 2 , HIPAA , and 105 CMR 164
• Participate in periodic training on emergency protocols and secure communications

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in healthcare, substance use treatment, or Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) settings – Required
• Familiarity with SAMMS or similar EMR systems – Required
• Must be located in Boston, MA and able to pick up equipment from facility – Required
• Strong knowledge of confidentiality and privacy regulations
• Excellent attention to detail and written documentation skills
• Ability to work independently during overnight or off-hour shifts

Additional Information:

• This is a remote position , but Boston residency is required for initial equipment pickup and periodic technical support.
• Shifts are scheduled during evenings, weekends, and overnights to ensure 24/7 emergency coverage.
