Job Title : MuleSoft Architect
Location: Atlanta, GA & Charlotte, NC, Onsite

Rate : Best competitive rate

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced MuleSoft Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in MuleSoft architecture, hybrid environments, API development, DevOps CI/CD, and integration best practices. This hands-on leadership role spans architecture, solution design, development oversight, and cross-team collaboration across both onsite and offshore delivery models.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

  • Analyze system integration points and design field mappings across multiple platforms.

  • Architect service engines using Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) patterns .

  • Design asynchronous integration models and define API contracts and payload structures for each source system.

  • Work with Enterprise Architects to define overall integration strategy.

MuleSoft Development & Implementation

  • Set up MuleSoft On-Premise and Hybrid MMC environments; guide infrastructure teams during configuration.

  • Design and build APIs using RAML with well-structured JSON inputs/outputs.

  • Develop and deploy MuleSoft applications to Anypoint Cloud ; create proxies and externalize configurations.

  • Implement Test Driven Development (TDD) using MUnit .

DevOps & CI/CD

  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to build CI/CD pipelines for MuleSoft Hybrid applications.

  • Perform code reviews, version control (Git), and repository management.

  • Build projects using Maven ; handle code merging and release management.

Security, Monitoring & Infrastructure

  • Configure API security policies and API portal management.

  • Enable CloudHub notifications for monitoring and alerts.

  • Set up DMZ server infrastructure for external integrations.

  • Handle messaging and integration using IBM MQ .

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead onsite and offshore development teams; mentor junior resources.

  • Assign tasks, track progress, and ensure adherence to best practices and standards.

  • Provide technical solutioning support for design challenges and development obstacles.

  • Participate in Agile development activities including planning, sprint ceremonies, and delivery execution.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 10+ years of IT work experience , including significant MuleSoft architectural experience.

  • Proven experience building MuleSoft integrations in hybrid environments .

  • Strong knowledge of RAML, APIs, JSON, CloudHub, MMC, IBM MQ, Git, Maven, CI/CD, MUnit, Agile .

  • Deep understanding of API-led connectivity, EAI patterns, and integration architecture .

  • Strong communication skills and experience leading both onsite and offshore teams.

  • Full fluency in English (written and spoken).
