Salary Range: $60,000-$63,000

Hours: 37.5 weekly

The Non-Clinical Case Manager provides goal-oriented and strengths-based assessment, intervention, and coordination of services to students experiencing academic, personal, or medical difficulties to assist them in removing barriers to success and to enhance their holistic well-being.  In this non-clinical role, the Case Manager for Student Development will Chair the Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) at MassArt and will lead efforts in addressing access to basic needs for MassArt students.  The Case Manager will serve as the SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for the college.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary non-clinical case manager for students
  • Chair the Behavioral Intervention Team and coordinate all administrative processes associated with the team including but not limited to onboarding new BIT members, scheduling appointments with students, conducting non-clinical case management intake meetings, coordinating action plans, referrals, and support
  • Demonstrate cultural humility, sensitivity, and equity-mindedness
  • Connect students to relevant services on and off campus
  • Work closely with the Clinical Case Manager/Psychotherapist
  • Responsible for marketing Behavioral Intervention Team to campus community and relevant stakeholders
  • Communicate and collaborate with with appropriate College staff, faculty, and students
  • Develop and deliver presentations tailored to specific stakeholders regarding the BIT
  • Oversee the development of resources, programs, events, and services related to students' basic needs in support of their holistic wellbeing
  • Plan and implement workshops and information sessions about housing and basic needs for students in support of their holistic wellbeing
  • Research and maintain a database of community services available to students
  • Responsible for the overall management of The Shelf, the college's food pantry
  • Assist students applying for food assistance and other community based assistance programs
  • Develop necessary assessments and implement industry standard assessments for designated populations
  • Communicate the objectives, progress, and outcomes of the program initiatives to faculty, staff, students,
  • Create marketing, awareness, and educational campaigns promoting case management services
  • Primary liaison for Student Financial Services
  • Support the administration of the Mastodon Emergency Fund in collaboration with other offices
  • Maintain relationships with current and develops future collaborations with the Department of Higher Education, other colleges and agencies related to Basic Needs
  • Assist with Student Development social media needs
  • Collaborate and communicate with Student Development staff, and other offices such as Justice, Equity and Transformation (JET), Academic Affairs, Financial Assistance and the Registrar's Office. 
  • Access professional development resources related to job functions.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, higher education or related field 
  • 1-3 years of post baccalaureate work experience
  • Crisis Management Skills
  • Demonstrated professional writing, communication, administrative and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of case management or related experience
  • Master's degree in social work, higher education, counseling or related field
  • Experience working in higher education
  • Two to four years of experience in higher education, preferably with students of concern and conduct processes
  • Experience with Maxient or other web-based software application used to manage student records
  • Social media skills
  • Spanish speaking
