Scheck Hillel Community School, a large Orthodox Jewish community school located in sunny North Miami Beach, Florida is currently accepting resumes for an experienced on-call school nurse.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate On-Call School Nurse. The School Nurse provides immediate medical care and support to students in accordance with established health protocols. The position requires flexibility to respond to the school community's needs as they arise.

This role is on call.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff as needed.
• Assess student health concerns and determine appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation for each student.
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding health issues, medications, and treatments.
• Collaborate with school administrators and staff to promote a healthy school environment.
• Ensure compliance with school health policies and state regulations.
• Respond to health-related emergencies during on-call shifts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or an equivalent experience.
• Current registered nurse (RN) licensure in Florida.
• Experience in pediatric nursing or school health preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in critical situations.
• Knowledge of state and federal health regulations as they pertain to school health.

Working Conditions:

• This is an on-call position requiring flexibility in availability during school hours and occasional after-hours.
• Work may be performed in a school setting, requiring physical stamina and the ability to respond quickly to emergencies.
