Outside Sales Associate that excels and prospers in a fast pace retail environment.
Duties Please note that the following is the minimum required; all experience levels above the responsibilities and qualifications listed below are welcomed.
About the Position This position requires an individual to interact with potential customers and to build confidence and commitment to our products and services. Therefore, the ideal candidate must be willing to divide his or her work time between the store, visiting customers business or offices, managing field projects, prospecting for new clients, and networking within the community. It is also expected that the individual be a self-starter, personally well organized, and willing to create new business as well as to provide outstanding customer service and follow-up.
Although not an all-inclusive list, the following are some of duties and expectations for this position: - Visiting potential customers (such as property managers, commercial businesses, realtors, independent hotel and motel owners, and other types of businesses)
- Building client relationships
- Answering questions from, and providing information to, customers about our company, our products, and our services.
- Networking regularly, and working effectively with, other store employees
- Creatively pursuing new leads on your own
- Completing takeoffs and submitting bids for projects
- Managing the projects that are won from beginning to end
- Negotiating contracts
- Executing marketing programs
- Building a book of business that continually grows because of your follow-up and client management abilities
- Belonging to a variety of local organizations and business groups
Requirements Qualifications of the Outside Sales Associate - Retail experience a must
- Flooring experience a must
- Design experience a plus
- Ability to understand and effectively communicate numerical data
- Computer skills
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Background check a must
- Be able to lift 30 lbs. from time to time
