PLC Programmer (Food Manufacturing)

Title: PLC Programmer

Location: Rock Island, IL (61201)

Hourly Pay: $28 - $34

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8AM-4PM

What You Will Be Doing

• Program, edit, and troubleshoot PLC systems (primarily Allen-Bradley, plus Radwell, Eaton, and others).
• Configure and maintain HMI interfaces for production equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve issues on conveyors, inverters, and food manufacturing machinery .
• Work across a mixed controls environment with multiple platforms and software.
• Collaborate with maintenance techs and train them on PLC troubleshooting and programming .
• Ensure smooth operation in a fast-paced, high-volume food production setting .

What You Will Need For This Job

• Hands-on PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley required; multi-brand experience preferred).
• Ability to write, edit, and troubleshoot code on live systems using a laptop and installed software.
• Strong knowledge of industrial automation components (controllers, sensors, VFDs, networking).
• Minimum 3 years of experience OR equivalent proven skills (degree optional if experience is strong).
• Familiarity with food manufacturing processes and compliance standards (preferred).
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a production environment.
