Ur Political Law Attorneys Have Extensive Client Contact And Assist In Advising The Regulated Community Of Corporations, Individuals, Nonprofits, Trade Associations, Political And Independent Expenditure Committees, And Other Public And Private Sector Clients Regarding Campaign Finance, Lobby Disclosure, And Government Ethics Laws, Including
- Conducting legal research and providing guidance on a wide variety of federal, state, and local campaign finance, lobbying, and ethics laws.
- Counseling on the formation and maintenance of ballot measure and independent expenditure committees.
- Overseeing the preparation of campaign finance and lobbying reports.
- Developing and delivering presentations on political law compliance issues in client trainings, seminars, and conferences.
- Advising on nonprofit compliance and governance issues.
Candidates must possess strong academic credentials (top 20%) and excellent research and writing skills. Experience with government, political, regulatory, or similar work experience is a plus, although not mandatory. The firm has a team-oriented culture, and there may be opportunities for a flexible, hybrid work schedule.
Salary & Benefits Nielsen Merksamer offers a competitive salary. The annual salary range for this position, firm-wide, is $160,000 to $200,000+, based on factors including but not limited to: local market data, the applicant’s skills, prior relevant experience, longevity, and pertinent degrees, licensing, and certifications. The salary range does not guarantee, obligate, nor set expectations for the applicant’s wage in the event of hire.
