Private Cook Needed in Charlestown, MA, and Westford, MA for Immediate Hire!

Must Have Prior Cook Experience In A Private Home! 

Local Candidates Only! 

Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Travel:

• June–August: Cook must travel to the family’s second home in Westford, MA
• Additional travel: 1–2 domestic or international trips per year (1–2 weeks each)

About The Family:

A health-conscious, joyful family of four (two adults, two kids ages 13 and 10) living in
Charlestown, MA. Both parents work from home, and their home is described as calm, respectful, and welcoming. They value open communication, trust, and kindness—and extend those values to everyone who works with them.

The family is seeking a professional full-time private cook who can prepare flavorful, nutritious, and highly personalized meals for their family, with flexibility to join us at their second home in Westford, MA, during the summer months.”

What The Family Is Looking For:

We are seeking a cook with strong culinary skills and a passion for flavorful, nutritious
food—someone who can customize meals to our family’s preferences and food allergies while incorporating fresh, organic, non-GMO, antibiotic-free, and seed-oil-free ingredients. We favor a diet that’s approximately 80% plant-based and 20% seafood or poultry.

A deep knowledge of global cuisines is essential—Asian, Italian, Thai, Moroccan, Indian, Mexican, Caribbean, and other flavor-rich traditions are welcome.

The ideal candidate is professional, adaptable, kind, and highly respectful of both culinary hygiene and household dynamics

Responsibilities:

• Prepare fresh breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily (Monday–Friday; 9.30-5.30 pm)
• Make a green smoothie or fresh juice each day
• Prepare healthy snacks for the children
• Plan a weekly menu in collaboration with the family every Thursday
• Shop for groceries (local farms, Whole Foods, Indian store etc.) and provide weekly
• receipts
• Keep the kitchen clean, sanitary, and organized
• Occasionally cook for small dinner gatherings
• Cook family-supplied recipes when requested
• Adapt meals based on feedback, preferences, and allergies
• Travel to Westford from June to August for daily work
• Travel with the family 1–2 times per year (domestic/international)

Qualifications:

• Extensive cooking experience
• Experience as a private cook (preferred)
• Excellent knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
• Proficient in a wide range of cuisines
• Able to prepare fresh meals daily, not reliant on batch cooking
• Must have a car for commuting and grocery shopping
• Highly professional, respectful, adaptable, and feedback-friendly
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
