Position Type: Full-Time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Work Hours: 32 – 40 hours per week

Position Overview

We are seeking a Professional Dog Trainer who is experienced, balanced, and well-versed in all styles of dog training. The ideal candidate will use a mix of positive reinforcement and corrective methods tailored to each dog’s specific needs. You will work with dogs of varying ages and behavioral backgrounds, implementing individualized training plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group dog training sessions tailored to each dog's abilities and temperament.
• Evaluate dog behavior and implement training techniques for various commands and behaviors.
• Develop customized training plans in consultation with pet owners.
• Maintain a safe and encouraging environment that promotes learning and engagement.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing insights and progress reports on their dog’s training.
• Keep accurate records of training activities and progress.
• Stay informed of the latest dog training methods and tools through continuous learning.

Qualifications

• At least two years of verifiable experience in dog training or a related field.
• Certification from a recognized dog training program is desirable.
• Proficient understanding of canine behavior, learning patterns, and psychology.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse clients.
• Passion for working with dogs and a commitment to their well-being.
• Physical capability to handle dogs of various sizes and energy levels.

Work Schedule

• Flexible schedule with primarily daytime shifts.
• Weekend availability required as per client needs.
