• Office Equipment Available: Telehealth equipment available at DOC headquarters and many facilities
• Support Staff Available: Psychiatrists
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Rate: TBD
• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active Virginia license
• Board: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• DEA: Active DEA Certification
• Certifications: NPI
• Experience: No history of malpractice or disciplinary actions
• Other Qualifications: Ability to handle correctional population and emergency phone consults
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct psychiatric assessments and medication management
• Collaborate with the Chief Psychiatrist
• Provide onsite or telehealth services based on facility needs
• Be available for 24/7 emergency consultations via phone
• Document care accurately in EMR (when specified)
