As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Sagent Behavioral Health, formerly known as (Nystrom & Associates, Ltd.), you will be an important part of a vibrant and dynamic outpatient mental health provider making important contributions to the mental health of our local communities. You will focus on diagnosing, treating, and preventing mental illnesses and emotional disorders. You will evaluate patients' mental and physical well-being, create personalized treatment plans, and prescribe medication as needed. This role plays a crucial part in supporting patients' needs and promoting improved mental health outcomes. Specifically for this role, an ideal candidate would have an interest in supporting the adult or lifespan population. Makes urgent assessments of person in crisis, evaluating as appropriate. Collaborate with others involved in treatment planning. Document all patient interactions, assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and medication changes in compliance with legal, ethical, and institutional standards. Attend and participate in clinical staff meetings and consultations. Ensure a patient-centered approach by fostering a supportive and empathetic therapeutic environment. Requirements: Master's or Doctorate degree in Psychiatric Nursing from an accredited college or university; active and unrestricted State of Wisconsin License to practice medicine. Must have a mental health certification (PMHNP) recognized by the board of nursing. Minimum 1-2+ years' experience practicing as an APNP is required. Knowledge of regulatory standards governing care delivery and operations. Proficient in the use of computers including Microsoft Office products and experience with Electronic Health Records.
