Food for Thought is searching for a motivated and detail-oriented Research & Development Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis!

Here's a Taste of What You'll Be Doing

The R & D Specialist will support the development and enhancement of Food for Thought products, conducting research on new ingredients, developing recipes, assisting in product testing, and collaborating with various teams to ensure new products meet quality standards and production requirements.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Research and develop new product ideas and formulations, focusing on scalability and efficiency for commercial manufacturing.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life, from concept to production.
• Conduct product testing, including sensory evaluation, shelf-life studies, and consumer feedback collection.
• Provide support for scaling of new products for production, including identifying and solving potential challenges in current and future production processes.

Requirements:

• Working knowledge of food science and nutrition.
• Experience in recipe development and food formulation within a scalable commercial manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of food safety and quality standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for food innovation.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
