Location: Washington, DC 20007
Schedule: Full-Time | 5/8 Schedule (Five 8-hour shifts/week)
Pay Rate:

• 3 years experience: $45.67/hr

• 2 years experience: $44.78/hr

• 1 year experience: $43.91/hr

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our oncology care team in Washington, DC. The therapist will be responsible for delivering prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients in accordance with physician instructions and departmental protocols, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accuracy of treatment delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer accurate radiation treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist

• Operate linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment

• Verify treatment plans and perform quality assurance (QA) checks

• Document treatment procedures and patient responses in medical records

• Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being during treatment

• Maintain radiation safety protocols and assist with machine QA under physicist supervision

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff

Minimum Qualifications

• Education:

  • ARRT Certification in Radiologic Technology – Required

  • B.S. in Radiation Technology – Preferred

• Certifications:

  • ARRT (Radiation Therapy) – Required

  • CPR/BLS Certification – Required

  • Texas Medical Board MRT License – Note: May not apply in DC unless dual-licensed; confirm state requirements

• Experience:

  • 1–2 years of clinical experience in a radiation therapy setting – Required
