3 years experience: $45.67/hr
2 years experience: $44.78/hr
1 year experience: $43.91/hr
We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our oncology care team in Washington, DC. The therapist will be responsible for delivering prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients in accordance with physician instructions and departmental protocols, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accuracy of treatment delivery.
Administer accurate radiation treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist
Operate linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment
Verify treatment plans and perform quality assurance (QA) checks
Document treatment procedures and patient responses in medical records
Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being during treatment
Maintain radiation safety protocols and assist with machine QA under physicist supervision
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
Education:
ARRT Certification in Radiologic Technology – Required
B.S. in Radiation Technology – Preferred
Certifications:
ARRT (Radiation Therapy) – Required
CPR/BLS Certification – Required
Texas Medical Board MRT License – Note: May not apply in DC unless dual-licensed; confirm state requirements
Experience:
1–2 years of clinical experience in a radiation therapy setting – Required
