Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our dynamic creative team as a Midweight Artworker.

A dynamic, thorough and enquiring approach will be required as you will be involved in a wide range of projects and executions, including digital, social, print, and motion with timelines ranging from the immediate to the longer-term.

Fitting in as part of a wider creative team and the ability to collaborate effectively is also a must.

You’ll be a technically led, detail-oriented, problem-solving Artworker with strong organisational and time management skills; you’ll be responsible for interpreting, implementing, and delivering across a wide range of projects.

Your diverse portfolio will showcase this skillset and experience.

Ideally, you’ll have gained substantial experience as an Artworker within a design/creative agency, be self-motivated with a hunger for producing brilliant, award-winning work; a keen eye on the latest trends and industry innovation and a willingness to push themselves as far as possible.

The Day to Day…

  • Ensure technical excellence and consistency across all projects and inspire the team to develop innovative and scalable creative solutions.
  • Set up master files from design files to the specification required for all online and offline requirements, including press ads, POS, DM and Banner Ads, demonstrating a clear understanding of print and web processes.
  • Set up templates and spot colours which can be used as a basis for future similar assets.
  • Keeping colour libraries / image banks up to date
  • Checking resolution of images are appropriate for any given asset at specific sizes.
  • Pre-press offline files for print, ensuring all files are correct to specifications and client guidelines.
  • Prepare artwork to apply specific finishes (UV / Foil etc)
  • Dispatch final signed off files to printers/external suppliers in the correct format using the correct supply procedures. Ensuring preflight checks are done.
  • Follow up all sign off, scheduling and briefing procedures and ensuring that the server structure and version control is maintained.
  • Collaborate with designers to develop visually stunning and innovative creative concepts that are both scalable and technically excellent.
  • ·Create high-quality layouts that are engaging, effective, and aligned with brand objectives.
  • Demonstrate exceptional skills in creative comping and retouching to create visually stunning compositions that bring design concepts to life.
  • Use advanced retouching techniques to enhance and refine creative assets.

Requirements

Who will you be?

  • Ideally you should have experience in a similar role (ideally within an agency or studio) in commercial design, advertising, or production, with a portfolio of work across digital and print.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of skills across digital including animation, and print, demonstrating proficiency in Adobe CC: PS, AI, INDD, AE.
  • Experience rolling campaign creative across all deliverables considering typography, layout, and accessibility for each output, including press, OOH/DOOH, social, web, and digital display.
  • A technical understanding that is second-to-none, whatever the channel and output.
  • A good knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects and Figma is essential.
  • 3D software such as Blender is a bonus.
  • Good working knowledge of PowerPoint (templates/masters, animations/builds, general layouts) is preferred.
  • A detailed knowledge of social media best practice and trends
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • A collaborative team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A good sense of humour and a positive outlook towards change and challenges
  • An inclusive, modern view of local culture and the wider world.
  • Passionate about great design and have a keen eye for detail and craft.
