ABOUT THE ROLE

The Research Intern will report to the Endeavor Insight team, which conducts research on high-impact entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial ecosystems worldwide. During your time with us, you will contribute to key research projects by collecting data on tech companies and their founders, conducting literature reviews, and synthesizing findings. Recent projects have studied the career pathways of successful founders, analyzed innovative tech sectors in emerging markets, and developed guidance for decision-makers who support entrepreneurs as they scale their businesses.

The intern will work most closely with Smriti Saini (Manager, Insight), and Leah Barto (Sr. Director, Insight).

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

This is a hybrid internship in New York City, with three days per week to be spent at Endeavor Global’s office in Downtown Manhattan.

  • Program Duration: Monday, June 2 to Friday, August 1, 2025
  • Pay : $17/hr, up to 40 hours/week
  • Candidates: For this role, we are accepting applications from rising seniors. Rising juniors are also welcome to apply.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this position will include:

  • Collecting data on top-performing entrepreneurial companies and their founders;
  • Organizing, cleaning, and analyzing data using Microsoft Excel;
  • Conducting literature reviews and synthesizing information;
  • Editing and proofreading drafts of Endeavor Insight publications; and
  • Assisting with communications and other departmental tasks as needed.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

We are looking for an undergraduate student with:

  • A strong academic record and demonstrated interest in economics, international development, statistics, journalism, or business;
  • An interest in conducting research on entrepreneurs and economic growth;
  • Experience managing, collecting, and analyzing large amounts of data;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • A passion for economic development and Endeavor's mission; and
  • Access to a computer with a reliable internet connection.

BENEFITS, PAY, and TIMELINE

  • This position will be compensated at NY State minimum wage ($17/hour) up to 40 hours per week.
  • The Summer Internship Program will run from Monday, June 2 to Friday, August 1, 2025.
  • Internships follow a hybrid schedule and interns will be expected to work in our Downtown Manhattan Office three days a week.
