The Registered Nurse in Diagnostic Imaging is responsible for providing pre- and post-procedural care for interventional radiology patients in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma center. This includes patient preparation, recovery, and overnight observation. The RN will work within a multidisciplinary team, utilizing strong communication and critical thinking skills to care for both inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan.

Responsibilities:
- Provide pre-procedural preparation for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
- Deliver post-procedural recovery and overnight observation care.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
- Care for patients boarding overnight pre or post procedure.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active New York RN license.
- Minimum of 2 years of Registered IR Nursing experience.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
- Telemetry Experience Required
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with GI post-procedural care.
- Medical/Surgical experience.
Special Considerations:
- Rotating Day/Evening/Night shifts.
- Floating between units as needed.
- Required to work holidays and weekends.
- On-call/callback responsibilities per unit needs.
- Must be able to obtain TB skin test.
