Safety / Admin Coordinator

Power City Electric is the largest electrical contractor in Eastern Washington. We're hiring a Full Time position to join our Spokane team. The job we're hiring for is an admin support position to help our Safety Manager meet the needs of our employees and all regulatory requirements and also supporting our Operations Team with admin support of their projects. Specific Tasks may include:

  • Support company's fuel card program which involves issuing and cancelling cards, reviewing and coding monthly bill and identifying problems on the monthly bill.
  • Support company's process of obtaining driving records once a year on all drivers, reviewing driving history for safety concerns and tracking high risk drivers.
  • Support company's drug testing program for new hire and random annual tests for all employees.
  • Coordinate closely with our Fleet Manager to track use and maintenance of over 100 trucks and 50 pieces of heavy equipment and trailers.
  • Update company's social media account and website to feature new projects.
  • Track employee safety training and update training records in HR software.
  • File annual OSHA 300 form and many other regulatory reports and filings.
  • Help track PPE inventory and assign appropriate PPE to employees.
  • Many other office duties.
  • Communicate IT related issues from employees to our outsourced IT provider.
  • Help move projects towards completion by performing project and office administration tasks, which typically include production and distribution of collateral, file management, data collection, report creation, proofreading, research, and team collaboration.
  • Ensure all contract goals including reporting and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Prepare and analyze weekly reports regarding status of projects.
  • Provide scheduled and unscheduled periodic reports for client and Project Manager.
  • Prepare yearly pre-qualifications & Small Works Roster applications.
  • Assist in submitting high quality, accurate, complete bid documents.
  • Obtaining insurance certificates for GC/Owner.
  • Requesting and tracking bid bonds, performance & payment bonds, and retainage bonds.
  • Subcontracts/Contracts - responsible for overseeing signing, making copy for A/R, scanning into spectrum and sending back to GC/Owner.

  • Job Preferences
  • Two or four year college degree is preferred.
  • Three or more years of similar experience in a construction company.
  • Basic understanding of the construction project lifecycle

Wages and Benefits

Compensation: $28.85 to $31.25 per hour.

Classification: Non-exempt position, eligible for OT pay.

401k: Annual match paid dependent on company profits.

Medical: 100% company-paid medical for employee and dependents.

Other: Paid vacation, sick leave, AFLAC, Sect 125 cafeteria plan

Dress Code: Business casual

Work Hours: Generally a 7:00 am till 4:00 pm schedule, Monday-Friday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
