Job Description
We are seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer to develop firmware for POSIX-based platforms (Embedded Linux & VxWorks) with a focus on industrial communication protocols and IoT solutions. This role involves firmware development, prototyping, debugging, documentation, and Agile collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Develop embedded firmware for industrial communication protocols.
- Work with Embedded Linux & VxWorks within hardware constraints.
- Perform Test-Driven Development (TDD) & unit testing.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex software/hardware issues.
- Create technical documentation (design documents, build guides, white papers).
- Optimize designs for performance, cost, and modularity.
- Collaborate with Agile teams, attending standups & technical discussions.
- Research & integrate new technologies (5G, TSN, cybersecurity, automation tools).
Experience:
- 4-7 years in embedded firmware or application development.
- Strong understanding of technical specifications, UML diagrams, & customer applications.
Skills:
- Programming: C/C++, Linux development, debugging.
- Embedded Systems: Real-time OS (RTOS) like Free RTOS, Zephyr, multitasking firmware programming.
- Development Tools: Git, GitHub, Wireshark, Cross Compilation, CMake.
- Networking Protocols: Industrial Automation, OSI Model, Client/Server applications.
- Cybersecurity: Cryptographic key management, PKI, certificate management.
- Process Automation & Research: Implement automation tools for product development/testing.
Education:
- Bachelor's or master's in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Embedded Systems focus).
