Job Description:

Mechanical Engineer Senior
  • Develop custom data acquisition systems used to support testing on various platforms, including mechanical design of system and installation methods
  • Develop and support detailed documentation of designs to obtain approvals for shipboard installation of TEMPALTs
  • Support system lifecycle phases: Design, Implementation, Maintenance
  • Participate in temporary installation and operation of data acquisition systems on various platforms
  • This is a hands-on position that requires ability to support multiple functions in a system develop team
  • Occasional travel required

REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
Security Clearance Level: Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient in SOLIDWORKS and DraftSight CAD software
  • Experience with the design and development of analog data acquisition systems
  • Experience with design of enclosures for electronics systems
  • Experience integrating COTS and custom components into electromechanical systems
  • Experience with mechanical assembly and operation of machining equipment, including but not limited to drill presses, mills, and bandsaws
  • Broad technical background in mechanical systems, stress/strain, thermal. packaging and materials
  • Experience with project management for small scale engineering projects, including requirements documents, analysis of alternatives, POAMs, and others

The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
