Job Description

Salary: 170,000 - 210,000 USD per year Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience as a UX designer or interaction designer.
• Experience in acquiring user data through methods such as conducting usability studies and performing user research, as well as creating personas and journey maps.
• An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating the ability to craft end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns across desktop and mobile devices.
• 5+ years of experience creating prototypes or wireframes for enterprise web applications and/or workflows.
• A strong sense of ownership, evidence of dealing with ambiguity, and the ability to drive consensus around key decisions.

Responsibilities:

• In this role, you will:
• Own the design process from end-to-end, from user research and concept exploration to design reviews, delivery, and usability testing.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and technical writers to build intuitive, accessible, and innovative products that delight millions of users.
• Help define product strategy that impacts product roadmaps and business goals, working on solutions for complex design and technical challenges we are tackling at AWS.
• Create user-centered designs while advocating for customers by understanding business requirements, customer needs, and technical feasibilities.
• Quickly create and iterate on user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes based on user feedback to continuously raise the standard for quality. Present findings and designs to stakeholders and leadership.
• Engage with customers and partner teams to collect qualitative and quantitative data to make informed design decisions, continuously aligning with various stakeholders.
• Collect metrics post-launch to evaluate designs and inform improvements on user experiences.
• Define and improve design best practices, including refining design patterns, standards, methods, and processes, driving adoption across teams.
• Contribute back to the design community by mentoring and coaching other designers on their professional development and design skills.

Preferred qualifications include experience with UX design for complex workflows, collaboration with product managers and developers, and delivering UX solutions for large projects. A degree in design or human-computer interaction is preferred, along with fluency in best practices for information architecture and interaction design.
