Position: Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Location: Eagan

Shift: 1 st Shift, 8am to 4:30pm

Pay: $22.00

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to manage the efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of goods. This role is crucial in ensuring that products are properly received, processed, and shipped in a timely, cost-effective, and accurate manner .

Key Responsibilities

Shipping & Order Fulfillment:

• Create pick lists, retrieve products, and document order details.
• Prepare and process shipping documents , including export paperwork when necessary.
• Properly package shipments, including palletizing, shrink-wrapping, and banding.
• Weigh and count parts before shipment to ensure accuracy.
• Determine optimal shipping routes and arrange carrier pickups.

Receiving & Inventory Management:

• Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and document any discrepancies (e.g., damages, shortages).
• Process and distribute received goods to appropriate departments.
• Handle returned goods and ensure proper documentation.
• Manage inventory levels for manufacturing, shipping, tooling, and office supplies.
• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories as directed.

Warehouse Operations & Equipment Handling:

• Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment for loading and unloading shipments.
• Construct secure shipping containers for molds, equipment, and other specialized shipments .
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.

Required Qualifications

Education & Skills:

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic, read and interpret shipping schedules, and understand export/inventory procedures .
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow instructions .
• Working knowledge of computerized inventory and manufacturing systems (SAP experience preferred).

Experience:

• Minimum six months of manufacturing, shipping, or inventory control experience .
• Familiarity with freight receiving procedures and warehouse best practices.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interactions across departments.
• Resourcefulness, problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities when coordinating with carriers, suppliers, and off-site contractors.
• Must exercise care and attention to prevent product damage, loss, or workplace safety hazards.
