Job Description

Our co-founders started Zip in 2020 to address this seemingly intractable problem with a purpose-built platform that provides a simple, consumer-grade user experience. Within just a few short years, Zip created the procurement orchestration category and developed the leading solution in this $50B+ TAM space. Today, leading companies like Instacart, Anthropic, Sephora, Discover, Reddit, and Lyft rely on Zip to manage billions of dollars in spend.

We're a fast-growing team that helped scale category-defining companies like Airbnb, Meta, Salesforce, Databricks, Apple, Google, and Ramp. With a $2.2 billion valuation and $370 million in funding from Y Combinator, BOND, DST Global, and CRV, we’re focused on developing cutting-edge technology, expanding into new global markets, and—above all–driving incredible value for our customers. Join us!

Our team at Zip is growing quickly, and we need your help!

We are looking for a mid to senior-level Brand Designer who is eager and excited to help build a category-defining brand through campaigns, events, product launches, advertising, web design, and much more. You will be closely collaborating with our talented team of marketers, growth strategists, product designers, and broader organization to help bring Zip’s vision and mission to life.

Please note, that we are looking for someone who will be able to either come into our downtown San Francisco office on a hybrid basis (3 days / week) OR is based in New York (we will eventually be opening an office where someone will come in hybrid as well).

Your Role

  • See projects throughout the entire design process from creative conception to execution

  • Help expand and grow the Zip brand system across a range of surfaces like events, print and digital ads, webinars, web pages, presentation decks, and more.

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, growth, and the product team to execute brand campaigns, product launches, customer content, and more.

  • Partner with animators to create motion-based assets

  • Actively contribute to the evolution of the Zip brand by exploring novel solutions that support our brand and marketing goals

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience working as a designer in-house or at a start-up

  • A strong portfolio showcasing brand experience across a range of mediums

  • Excellence in typography, color theory, layout, and composition

  • Effectively able to communicate concepts and design rationale

  • Strong skills in critical thinking and storytelling

  • Embrace an iterative design process and be receptive to feedback

  • Able to work independently, drive multiple projects at once, and iterate quickly

  • Foster strong working relationships with team members and cross-functional partners

  • Comfortable in your soft skills: listening, negotiating, and decision-making

  • High proficiency in Adobe Suite and Figma

The salary range for this role is $135,000 - $170,000. The salary for this position is determined based on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant experience, education, or particular skills and expertise.

  • 🦷 Full health, vision & dental coverage

  • 🍽️ Catered lunches & dinners for SF employees

  • 🚍 Commuter benefit

  • 💸 401k plan

We're looking to hire Zipsters and that means hiring people who take ownership, communicate openly, have an underdog mindset, and are excited to increase the pace of innovation for every business in the world. We encourage all candidates to apply even if your experience doesn't exactly match up to our job description. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workspace where everyone (regardless of age, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and more) feels like they belong. We look forward to hearing from you!
