InfraHire is looking for a Sr.Operation Manager in Newark, NJ.

Job Description:


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing or poultry/meat processing , with proven leadership skills and experience driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

• Manage and oversee day-to-day plant operations, including production, packaging, maintenance, and sanitation.

• Ensure all operations comply with USDA, FDA, and company food safety standards (HACCP, SQF, GMP, etc.).

• Monitor production performance metrics to ensure on-time delivery, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

• Lead, train, and develop production supervisors and hourly staff to meet operational goals.

• Partner with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve process or equipment issues.

• Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and maintain product consistency.

• Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental policies.

• Manage labor schedules, production planning, and resource allocation based on demand.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma practices.

• Maintain accurate records of production data, inventory, and performance reports.

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

• 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing operations; poultry or meat processing experience strongly preferred.

• Strong understanding of USDA regulations, HACCP, and GMP requirements.

• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in a production environment.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP systems.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
